We believe perfect practice starts with proper footing. You can have the best horse in the world, but if your ground isn't right, you can risk injury to both horse and rider. RF Groomers are designed to produce a consistent surface throughout the arena. Made of 1/2" plate steel and powder coated for a 100% waterproof seal. These groomers will last a lifetime.
Sand provides cushion, clay provides traction. You don't want too much of either type. Too much sand and the horse will overwork and you risk tendon injuries. If there is too much clay, the arena gets hard-packed quickly. This groomer is desigend for a clay-sand mix. The front rippers make sure everything gets loosened up. The rake levels the high and low spots and mixes the material. The base blade smoothes any furrows on the base and also lifts the material into the rear roller wheel. The wheel fluffs the material with air. This gives the arena an air cushion feel. Horses gain confidence in this environment. They have traction for corners and speed, but an air cushion feel for maneuvers and stopping.
Aggressive front rippers for a deeper dig. The last thing we want is for the groomer to float to the top on the hard-pan. This is a common problem with many groomers on the market. The first priority of this groomer is to get into the ground. These rippers are on an 8 degree forward angle for an aggressive bite on hard dirt.
The base blade is a key feature of this groomer. It removes furrows in the base of the arena. It also kicks dirt into the wheel which helps fluff and aerate the dirt. The flat base on your arena floor will give your horse confidence to get into the ground. The air in the dirt will give the arena a soft cushion feel. Horses love it...
The finish wheel is made with thin blades so it will get into the ground. We want the wheel cultivating the arena material, breaking up clods and leveling.
All attachments are adjustable and replaceable. Frame is made of 1/2" plate steel. It's made to last a lifetime. All welding is done by us to ensure it's done right. We take the time needed to produce a high quality, precision groomer. It's actually fun to watch this groomer work the arena.
All groomers are powder coated. It not only provides a great look, but it seals the groomer from moisture, even in those tight corners that are hard to see.
Beware, many groomers on the market are designed for dual pass to finish the arena -- meaning you have to cross groom in order to remove furrows in the base. This groomer is designed for a single pass so you can get to riding and minimize time spent grooming.
We can match tractor brand color like Kubota Orange or John Deer Green. Most popular color is gloss black with the attachments the color of the tractor, like red, blue, green or orange.
